Type terminology can be puzzling to beginner designers. Terms such as kerning or tracking can confuse those unfamiliar. My poster series was designed to demonstrate the terminology as cleanly as possible. A small silhouette is shown interacting with each letter to define the term. As visualized above: serif, ligature, ascender, and descender.
